In the face of meek death
Worry springs to men far-fetched,
And pleas for moments long-wretched
Dampening honored pride's fiery breath;
Yet, in his cowardice lay want
Of joyous life given at birth.
What would be without mirth
But the sorrows of fleshly gaunt?
"Rejoice the woes," tells noble souls,
To leap upon death wherever he strolls.
