Post games that are not well known to the public

Millennium Racer: Y2K Fighters
Millenium racer

Millennium Racer is a racing game for PC, it would have a dreamcast version but it was canceled.

Skeleton Krew
In this shooting game with an isometric perspective, you choose between three biomechanical skeletons. They have a version for sega genesis, Amiga 1200 and Amiga CD32.

mega drive version

Amiga (CD32) version

OZ: Sword of Etheria
Sword of Etheria is a slash hack with RPG elements for PS2. You play as Fiel while the other two characters Leon and Almira are controlled by AI, however you can still give them commands. You can play with other characters besides the Fiel but you have to unlock them first.

The ost of this game is pretty great

Battleground 2, I played it when I had a shitty pc

1606651167661

One game I enjoyed as a teen. Little did I know this would be the only time I would experience being a chad and reproduce.

All of the Mystical Ninja/Ganbare Goemon Games, All of the Shantae games, all of the Umihara Kawase games, All of the Super Robot Wars Games, Trinity Universe, All Senran Kagura games, Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed, All Hyperdimension Neptunia games, All of the Corpse Party games, All Legend of Legaia Games, All Tales of games, All of the Evolution games and I'm sure there's many more I'm not remembering, there's LOTS of games I've played throughout the years that's not known to the general public.

Earth Defence Force games. They're all very cheesy and b movie like, but epic and amazing at the same time.
Also Asura's Wrath. Anime-ish game with AMAZING characters and story telling. But gameplay is very god of war like, and lots of it ends up becoming button mashing quick time events.
Star Wars Bounty hunter. You play as Jango fett and it's a third person action shooter, with some light platforming mechanics.
Warhawk and Starhawk. Both of these games are ONLY available on the PS3 and they are both amazing. Third person shooters with vehicles and an emphasis on flying combat. You can be a ground unit too. Warhawk had a very Star Wars battlefront (the old ones not new ones) feel to the gameplay. Starhawk featured a unique mechanic in both the multiplayer and singleplayer in which you can call down from orbit different vehicles, explacements, buildings, and weapons. TBH if you combined it's gameplay with Titanfall's mechs and wall running/fast paced movement system, you'd have a GOTY. Starhawk also had a very sci fi - western theme to it. Sort of like Firefly (the old tv show)
Also Titanfall 2, not THAT obscure but it's still extremely overlooked.

Neo Contra

Shadow of the destiny
91UWjnN29cL SY445

In this game the main character is killed at the beginning without much explanation, however he is resurrected by a homunculus. That same homunculus gives you a digipad that allows you to go back in time, to try to avoid your murder and to solve the mystery of who is trying to murder you and why. As the game deals with time travel, history is already expected to be full of plotholes. The protagonist is also stupid like a door, which is stressful.

I played Skeleton Krew on the Megadrive for the first time yesterday it's pretty good. Took me a while to get around to playing that one.

Cool. I’ve played Ys 8 and it was pretty fun. Ys 1 and 2 are next on my list.

Based brocel

You can't go wrong with the YS games. Almost every single one of them is amazing

the earthbound games are really good especially for those who like undertake. another good game is nexomon 1 and extinction, God tier Pokemon clone for PC cels

A lot of the old YS games aren't as well known, though recently the series has been picking up traction with the western audience.

They are among my favorite games

solid retro game

This game was my childhood but I'm pretty much the only person that I know who even knows it exists.

shame the studio that made it closed down.

Bushido Blade 1 & 2 for PS1.

Battle arena toshinden for ps1.

All Tales of games
Tbh. They fly under the radar but the series has some really good titles. ToS is my favorite action JRPG and I have just started Tales of Beseria

What's funny is that I actually heard of Millennium Racer and I want to eventually get my hands on a CD of the game. I happened to find it while searching for other late 90s futuristic racing games on the PC like Powerslide and Motorhead over a year ago.

My nominations will be Alien Breed, Alien Shooter, Shadow Man, Meridian 59, Motorhead, Powerslide, Constructor, and Soldier of Fortune.

Might and magic hames

Chaos Rings, the mobile JRPG published by Square Enix that no one really cared about.
Think only the 3rd game is even available for Android and iOS now, rest probably just as APKs that someone ripped.

Pros: Story, Music, Art, is an actual original JRPG unlike rest of what Square Enix puts out for mobile
Cons: Gameplay can be tedious, No exploration/Overworld

So many cool games out there if you’re just willing to dig a little deeper

Cant think of the name but its a gbc platformer where youre a teen that transforms into different things like a rhino or tiger. Anyone can help me out remembering the name?

Disciples 3 and Disciples series in general.

It's a turn based strategy game.

Even though the game has quite a bit of problems and crashes here and there it's still load of fun and one of my favourite childhood games, i'm playing it rn and it's great.

No its action not turn based
Seriously can no one think of this game? I played it as a kid

It was somewhat like mario except the powerups turned you in animal powerups like rhino and other shit.

How obscure is Glover? 'Cuz I liked Glover.

Trust me, theres 0 grind in Ys games except The Ark of Naphtim.

All the games will have you at the level you need to be by the time you're faced with your next challenge. The beauty of the games is that each encounter with a boss is tough as nails. It requires you to learn the pattern of the boss, and it doesn't feel cheap when you've lost an encounter.

If you feel like a challenge is too much you can go back and gain one more level, or you can tough it out and keep tackling it to you win.

I HIGHLY recommend you play them brocel.

Each game is entertaining, and the story mixed with the gameplay is divine. If you're unsure where to start, i'd recommend starting with Ys Origin.

This is one of the bosses on the games hardest difficulty. You can see how tense the battles can get. This guy makes it look easy, but trust me, i did this boss on nightmare mode too, and even a genetically modified gorilla like me had trouble

I checked the games I saw gameplay of, those were Ys Seven and VIII apparently. Seemed challenging like you describe it

Problem is I'm pc only these days tbh

Origin is on pc tho from what I gather from looking it up

Both Ys seven and VIII are on steam, as well as origin. You should wait for a steam sale though.

some of these Ys games are for snes or ps1, you can easily emulate them.

Of course as any poorfag like me would do tbh, don't think i've ever even bought a steam game outside of sales
