Honestly, more interesting than looking at the places with the most immigrants, is finding similarities between the ones with the fewest of them. All of them are very peripheral places, which are either extremely underdeveloped or otherwise troubled (Papua New Guinea, Madagascar and Western Sahara), or small countries with better alternatives right next to them (anyone who can reach Mongolia can also reach Russia and China, anyone who can get to Central America can get to Mexico and then potentially to the US, and nobody would stay in the Western Balkans when the actual West is right by the corner).
