A human's behavior is the result of his genetic makeup and the environment he exist within.

How and why would some cosmic entity like God bother judging a machine (a human in this case) for functioning like it was set to function?

This fact makes me apatethic towards the idea morality. There is no mystery to good or bad behavior. Genetics + environment explains everything. Judging people as good or evil isn't too interesting once you realize it.

Yeah, I understand that reality might be the creation of some higher being. The simulation theory sounds plausible.

But even still, the idea of humans being judged for their lives is ridiculous.

We are biologically designed to act in a certain way which was made by God, the same being who will punish us for acting just like the nature He created intended...? I don't get this religious idea either.

So God created us to control our natural instincts. He designed us as sinners so we could overcome our nature and become superior beings. Sex is essential for reproduction but liking it a bit too much is considered dirty and immoral by religious types. God said go forth and pocreate. Sexual commitment is important unless the couple isn't married before engaging in a sexual relation. It appears nothing really works here. We can't follow our instincts but we can't ignore them either.

We have to follow a strict path or else we are punished for being ourselves.
