Gave up on writing this crap, posting anyway because I'm an effort freak

Us humans pride our developed, highly complex nervous systems. These bundles of interconnecting nodes allow for rapid absorption of information and subsequent processing and storage. We truly use this as a barrier against us and all other organisms on the planet, a biological distinction which we believe pushes us away from our animalistic tendencies and into a higher cognitive plane. But what if the increasing size and complexity not just translated to complex thought, but also more complex 'animalistic' behaviour.

Homo Sapiens have one of the highest levels of visual acuity in the animal kingdom, and have a lot of neural real estate for processing high levels of visual information. These heightened visual senses allow for an extremely sophisticated set of 'peacock tails' to form across the human body. Generally non-functioning visually communicating anatomical features which dictate assortment into complex social networks and heirarchies.

Along with increased cognitive abilities, a more advanced nervous system tends to result in a more elaborate and intricate set of 'primitive' social behaviours, because it supports the processing power needed to develop them.
