For years and years (literally) I was thinking about a MAGNIFICENT game, that I always used to play when I was younger.
It was this 'stunt man' type of game, where you could literally drive off cliffs, slides etc, while crashing the body of the character you played as into dartboards and whatnot. Anyways, I was obsessed with it, and wanted to download it on my PC to play it (if possible) instead of the PS2.

I couldn't recall the name of the game for like 10 years, but This evening I came up with the idea to 'describe' the game to ChatGPT and it said:
'Looks like you are referring to a Game called Flatout - Ultimate Carnage.
I typed in the name of the game on YouTube, and YES it's the game I always used to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it, after 10 years of doing research, thinking, looking through YouTube etc, I finally managed to find the game.
Now.... I don't really remember if it's the 2004 or 2007 version which I always played, but damn it still looks awesome and fun to play.
Definitely gonna look up whether the game is avaliable on PC or not.

Flatout 1 and 2 are available on pirate sites. Burnout series was better, but still fun.

Yea this is the problem.... I've always had this 'vague' memory of playing the game, don't know the exact versions that are available... Definitely gonna look into it more. I was still a kid back then, I'm 23yo now, so I have a very vague memory of that game

i Prefer FlatOut, Driven to Destruction (Test Drive: Eve of Destruction ) Carmageddon, GTA 3D games, Gran Turismo 3-6, Need for Speed Most Wanted & Carbon, over Burnout.

Burnout emphasizes speed and flashy cameras, im more of a physics kind of guy. Burnout lacks that suspension kit. Most of the time you are simply pressing nitrous. The cars without it are useless. Unlike the other games i mentioned. It is fun nonetheless, but its not the kind of game with modding potential.

There are so many older games that are way better in my opinion than the 'modern' ones. Maybe I'm weird, I don't know. But I think if they remastered such games, they would have great potential.

I don't know why I'm searching for much older games lately.. maybe it's just nostalgia of a stress free and better phase of my life. I really want to go back to those times, it hurts my soul.

It is fact. only weird for the faggots that never played a good game in their soulless lives. It takes a Keen eye to spot Truu Greatness!!

I think it's both:
My nostalgia and modern games somehow not being at the same level as older ones.
I explained in another thread too how 343 industries basically fucked it all up after they took over the Halo series from Bungie when they didn't want to work with Microsoft anymore.
It has lost that momentum, that 'push forward' in the case of Halo.
Bungie basically had a team that consisted of true Halo fans, true fans who are passionate about the game and worked on the development process cause they loved doing it.
Not for a silly monthly paycheck
