Nostalgia probably hits harder for people who grew up in the 90s, and not because they’re older, but because the social landscape was more hospitable & fulfilling. You weren’t plagued by late stage feminism or (spearheaded by (elite) universities & Blackrock) the age of constant comparison. Wendy McEllory is a feminist I found on r/blackpillscience who talks about how it led to social decay due to putting the sexes at odds against one another.

If you grew up in the 90s, and reminisce on a nostalgic form of media (music, TV shows & movies, video games, etc) then you are transporting your mind back to an objectively happier time in human history. When you were more likely to be treated like a human. Not to mention T levels have been declining, so it’s easier for those soy emotions to wash over every atom in your body JFL

Wendy McEllroy. A must read. Foids explain the negative effects of their fuckery better than us sometimes

I liked the late 90s and early to mid 2000s

The early 2010s was okay.

Everything went totally downhill after 2014-16

Not to mentioned inflation

Time to grow up I guess, that time has gone.

The early 2000s was it for me, up until 2014

I can look back at the 90s early 00s culture and smile fondly.

The culture being better doesn't mean my life wasnt hell then either, just a different flavor of shit.

Nowadays culture is unbearable but I'm at a point where my bullies are literally dead and I can laugh at my own parents in the face for being such gaslighting trolls. The culture is actually a meme and in some weird way, I can relish in the normies misery as they aren't built for it like I am

Definitely in weird times tho

I grew up in the 70s and early 80s and didn't like the 90s much but they're paradise compared with now.

Thankfully, I live in a place where nobody is nostalgic for the 90s unless they are legit mentally ill, and 2000s all the way to mid 2010s for me have just been the time period when I was bullied throughout my entire journey through the education system, so I don't really mourn it.

Dunno if and how often this was pointed out, but I love how "on the street" isn't even an option in this. "Cold approaching works bro, it's just a number's game:soy:!" yeah, and that number is 0:feelshaha:.

“Neighbors” is the closest

Yea looking back at this thread, what I meant was that the hyper mog or be mogged world and its devastating fallout is more felt today. Dbdr said he’s going to make a video on depression culture. Idk if his most recent one today is about it.

But back then, it was more socially acceptable to be more low inhib and hardcore bully people (guys). The just world fallacy (which justifies bullying) was so much greater than any late zoomer could realize. So maybe the culture and copium for inkwells was better, but individually, perhaps it wasn’t that better than a subhuman growing up today

Yeah I could imagine you’re right, Too bad i was a little shit who didn’t understand what was going on from 98 to 2000

Late 80s, 90s and early 2000s where the best.

Best movies, games, no DLCs, no online play. Meet with friends, play together.

It was a much simpler and much better time.

Internet everywhere has only devided us.
