Many must believe such competition is positive. When in reality, if we had enforced monogamy, all the effort put in that zero sum game shit would be instead put into being constructive to society since you know you'll have your wife to fuck at the end of the day anyway. Also, being hard-working and upstanding would improve your chances of getting a wife in such society.
