This is one of my personal gripes.
We are told that it's all our fault, that it's all consequence of our own actions, and that everything that went wrong, happened for a reason(we deserved it). Now, revert the question back at them and ask them why did their kid turn out like x, y or z and they'll always blame the internet, rather than their shitty parenting :
"OOOH MY SON DOESN'T SOCIALIZE ANYMORE!!! IT'S THE INTERNET"
"OOOH MY SON IS AN INCEL!! IT'S THE DAMMN INTERNET!!"
"OOOOH MY SON IS UGLY!! IT'S THE DAMMN INTERNET"
"OOH MY SON DOESN'T TALK TO GIRLS! IT'S THE DAMMN PHONE!!"
"OOOH MY SON PLAYED TOO MANY VIDEO GAMES AND HE BECAME SHORT BECAUSE OF THAT"

No, you're just a shitty parent and nothing else. Everything can be traced back to that. The starting point of all shitty children started from their shitty, bum ass parents who didn't give a fuck about what their kids are watching and now they're mad that their own self made problem is spiraling out of control. If everything Is your fault, then why don't you actually grow a spine and say "Yes, I'm responsible for my son's demise, not the phone."
Why do I need to hear over and over again whenever any sort of attack happens how parents are blaming the phone and never the 30 page long complaints and deranged history behind them which caused their son to turn out like this. Maybe they should follow their own advice for once and take responsibility.
