I just saw an infuriating image of some of my old friends online and I was seething with rage, until I made the realisation that they still bleed.

They have something that keeps them going, something that constantly sustains them. The fact that that something can be taken away forever was extremely comforting to me.

Regardless I still have to live with the mog but the fact that they are mortal atleast soothes some corner of my soul.

That is the only 'fair' (if you can even call it that) thing about this life, everyone is mortal.

Also, most 'natural' deaths are not as peaceful as people think. As an oldcel I saw it around me as well. Not pretty and full of suffering, sometimes it lasts for months or years before the sweet release.
