Well you know the original author is now deceased, but they are trying to "make it up" follow what was left from the script originally written by not just the author, but those who have helped in the drawings aswell.
But as you know, it´s painfully slow.
Another manga which is my favorite, D.Gray Man for example, keeps it´s quality and long chapter length, but it´s released quarterly, so every 4 months, that is 3 chapters a year.
If the author dies, so does this manga itself. ( if she fails to finish it, i hope sincerely not. )

However, if you like Bleach you WILL like D. Gray Man. It´s up there in the quality department.

well Bleach definitely fell off once the Aizen plot was finished.I did really like the Hueco Mundo arc ( but you knew straight away, it was a repetition of Soul society but with a different theme and language even ) but decent nonethless, and i was engaged in watching it multiple times.
As for Naruto, after the Pain arc was finished, it became a Dragon Ball Z wannabe.
