Normies have no issue with playing the same game for over a decade with little alterations. The reason why Souls likes are no so sickeningly common, is because normies were babtized into liking the genre by Elden Ring and now expect every action game to play like souls slop because they hate learning or experiencing new things. (It's too confusing for them)

Look at how normies who try to play the original Resident Evil 2-4 complain about the controls. Now if you have an actual functioning noggin, it really should not take you long to adapt to the controls. But because normies are fucking retarded, they instead call these controls OBJECTIVELY BAD and then praise the remake for being a homogenized souless blob that splices together mechanics from other games they've played.


The key issue with modern gaming is NORMIES. NORMIES do not have STANDARD outside of the game being easy to understand. They will buy those games you call awful such as Star field because they follow a simple understandable formula. They will buy and love Monster Hunter Wilds because of how dumbed down it is. They will play Cod slop every year and spend hundreds on micro transactions. Normies are the PROBLEM


You must find a niche video game normies are not into or go into retro gaming if you want quality.

There's plenty of games coming out that normies won't touch like prison of husks. PS1 graphics is going to be considered a phobia soon because it exposes normies.

They could play RE2 on N64 as it has option to play without tank controls. RE4 was even more action packed than RE2/3 so it doesn't matter if they have tankish control or not, as you have cool close range attacks which previous games lacked as you were stuck in one place and turning very slowly.
Parasite eve 1 movement always felt much better and made game more fun than early RE games. With increased responsiveness and movement speed you had to avoid way more attacks and projectiles. It's not Touhou level of craziness but nice balance between difficulty and skill, while with RE0-1-2-3 you were mostly fighting vs your controls and trying to not waste too much ammo. RE4 never had such issues game was perfect and never needed a demake. Shame that PE2 was ruined by RE control scheme and then killed the IP for good (3rd Birthday is a meme of a game)

PS1 had so many cool looking 2d sprite games. Normies really think that PSX is just early shitty 2d and not also perfected 2d and 2.5d. we can skip that dated console and go straight to ps2 and ps3/xb360
