I think its because most humans are visually impaired as fuck. Ask anyone working in visual media. Most normies struggle to identify even basic celebrities by their face as crazy as that sounds. I think most people have no internal visual aesthetic sense, especially women. They may get a feeling from a good face but they cant tell you what fucking proportions are or anything. This is why I think they buy trash lookign games, flimsy shit consoles etc, they cant tell its shit quality because no ability to visually judge outside of how it makes them feel.
