Normies are against the death penalty, mostly because they don't want to get their hands dirty; that's why they are in favor of life in prison although there is effectively speaking no difference between the death penalty or life in prison, because the offender will never see the light of day again/leave prison alive. Instead of killing the offender right away, they support a death penalty in instalments and without being directly involved in it, the judgement is not enforced by a qualified individual, but rather by the biological process of aging. They want to keep the benefits of killing without the moral disadvantages and responsibilities.
They are against it for humanistic reasons, because they define life strictly as a biological process (e.g. as a synonym of existence), but the truth is that a fast/quick death is (for many offenders) better than being thrown into a deep, dark hole with no possibility of ever getting out of there.
At the same time you see that normies are extreme proponents of prison violence when the crimes are especially heinous in their eyes (e.g. sexually motivated crimes, especially when directed against minors). So it's wrong when a qualified executioner does it, but when another criminal (like a Neo-Nazi, a Gangbanger, a Drug Dealer, a Contract Killer, etc.) who is barely better/even worse and in no position to look down onto others does it it's fine; instead of leaving the judgement/enforcement of the judgement in the hands of qualified people who know what they are doing they leave it to the vigilante justice/arbitrary law of other criminals whose moral code is a bad joke.
Their fetishizations of (karmic) Prison Rape is also probably the most disgusting trait they display, sex-offenders most of the time were victims of abuse themselves, they know both sites of the coin, these acts don't cause them to reflect on their wrongdoings; furthermore, they are the ones who always insist on how damaging sexual abuse is, but with criminals that disgust them (like Neo-Nazis/Pedophiles) it's completely ok. At the same time self-defense that ultimately results in the death of the attacker is demonised by them, just look at their reactions to George Zimmerman. According to them you should just let someone bash your skull in and take your property before resorting to physical/lethal violence - what a completely bad joke their morals are.
When it's a drug-addict who stabbed an old lady to death during a robbery to buy more drugs, they always come up with his bad childhood and say that he was deep down a good boy while the same thing isn't done for sex offenders although their history is most of the time also not the happiest one and because many of them also suffer because of their sexual impulses - but nobody bothers with finding explanations for their crimes or even has sympathy for their position.
Everything is for the Normie excusable/explainable (especially when minorities/women are involved) until the severity of the crime rises above their own subjective moral threshold, then they become bloodthirsty and want vigilante justice/vendetta (e.g. the most primitive/archaic and anachronistic kind of justice that isn't based on facts/logic, but rather on the emotions in the heat of the moment) - the same thing they criticize proponents of the death penalty for. Multiple murderers and drug dealers who poison whole nations get more sympathies from normies than a man who just touched the boobs of a girl. Welcome to Clownsworld. Arrests of sex criminals are always pathognomonic for the phenomenons described above.
