i’m an indian woman that lives in the west so that in itself adds 100 points into my ugliness. i’m usually surrounded by east asian women who sit under the umbrella term of “woc” to express their discontent for eurocentric beauty standards. however i find it difficult to even relate to them AT ALL. atp, east asian features have become the new beauty standard in the area i live in. most men would love to be with a mediocre looking east asian women but shun out the most beautiful brown and black women ive seen (this is something very real in the country i live in) one of my best friends is east asian (wasian) and always complains about men liking white girls and whatnot, when everytime we go out every man approaches her even more than they approach white women. i just do not resonate with the “woc” label as all of our experiences are not equal.
