The bible had it right taking about the soul and the devil and things god is the collective love and the devil is the collective swarm mind of the approximately 70 million psychopaths on earth. The god is more powerful than the devil but has less reactionary agency.

The reason psychopaths exist is due to game theory ESS, evolutionary stable strategy of aggression in evolution. Like you have a population of doves and one of the doves gets mutated born as a hawk like creature it will propagate its genes better and there'll be lots of hawk like creatures tearing each other apart but only up to a point where game theory kicks in.
