When it comes to girls or jobs same thing. Like if you hit on only one girl, they'll say "why are you only hitting on one it's a numbers game", if you hit on many they'll go "well no wonder you're hitting on every girl at the club that looks desperate!"
They'll always find a way to pin it on you to uphold their just world fallacy. I was just talking with my Uncle about finding a job. I told him how I applied to a construction site. I told him I emailed the owner of the company, they replied once but then ghosted me. He said "WELL OF COURSE YA GOT REJECTED! you gotta show up in person! That shows you're committed! If you did that you'd be hired!". I then told him:
"I'm kidding, I did show up in person. I spoke to the Manager, I emailed him after.... just wanted to hear you say that before I revealed that detail.
His response:
"What??? So you're tricking me, no wonder you didn't get hired! No one wants to hire someone who tricks people like that, if you were honest with people they'd give you a chance!"
