Today, I had three people ask me for a cigarette.
One homeless foid and two of my neighbors.

Who are these people to ask me for a cigarette?

Especially my neighbors.

I’ve lived here for more than 5 years.
No one has ever invited me to do anything.
My neighbors almost never speak to me.

And then…..they ask for a cigarette.

No, you don’t get to just ignore me for 5 years and then ask me for a damn thing.
They get nothing.

I am the lone wolf of my neighborhood.

They are all friends and hang out together.

While I am left alone in despair.
