People are saying solo leveling and jjk are the best anime oat????? where are shows like neon genesis and cowboy bebop?
Everything now looks the same or has a shit storyline. Studios seem to be afraid of novelty or just lazy and it pisses me off

It's actually very simple to explain. It's easier to create pretty visuals and digital or cgi animation than actually good story, good and unique artstyle, great hand crafted animation and great characters. They can put generic mid budget anime and pay for ads so normies will eat it all up. Or they can spam out ultra low budget insekai slop that they can easily produce weekly to sell manga.

There are good shows, it's just that you need to look for them. Also if you're going to compare shows choose similar demographics pls.

What you said is like me saying i don't like Doraemon because it's not as fun as DBZ, it just sucks ass.

Also evangelion was not even that good, i liked it but the story did not even make sense. Cowboy bebop was also grossly overrated, it was just a space slife of life with a "impactful" ending. People complaining about Frieren will sing praises to CB, but they are both shit

yeah true I just thought of some old shows I enjoyed quickly. yes there are a few good new ones but most are shit despite good production teams like compare cowboy bebop and lazurus

There's too many animes releasing nowadays, so it may feel like everything is shit if it's not up to your tastes. But i'm sure it's just a matter of being more careful.

It's unfortunately true that, there's not many seinen shows going around. They don't make that much money. So you'll have seasons of Isekais and slice of lifes with lolis, which you may not be fond of.

They are actually quite easy to enjoy, you can just turn your brain off

No, they're afraid to lose money. Something new and refreshing might not be well received today.

That's why the hardest they'll push is reboots.
