This has been my experience, but nerds specifically seem to be especially awful. It's funny, because when I was trying to make friends and fit in as a kid, these are the people I tried the hardest with to befriend because I thought we had a lot in common. Turns out, they're awful people who don't like associating with ugly, autistic losers. Even though half of them were that, anyway.
