IT hardly needs an introduction. An entire subreddit that basically just sits on their arse and takes screenshots of our threads, often lazily. Occasionally they'll infiltrate, but they'll either get stopped by the jannies, or get bored. Very few survive long enough to make it to the private subforums.
The truth is, IT is merely just another group in a long line of people that have attempted to persecute us. This line is older than humanity itself, in fact, it goes back all the way to the dawn of sexual reproduction. However, these days, with the rise of modern civilisation, and the Internet, the situation is becoming impossible to ignore.
William Costello is no ally of ours, but he is one of a small handful of researchers who actually knows what he is talking about on this issue. I agree with him on his belief as to why normgroids care about us. It isn't that we're a threat, rather, it's that our struggle ties deeply into very fundamental struggles of life, that are relatable to some extent, to all. Of course, we are uniquely impaired by years of trauma, and shitty genes. However, normgroids do have their own struggles.
Normgroids constantly gaslight us. They aren't doing it intentionally, they really do think they are helping us, it's just their advice doesn't work. We know it's horseshit. They don't. They believe what worked for them will work for us. No. You need advice that is tailored to a person, to some extent.
IT, ultimately, isn't that high on society's "pecking order". They're just normal enough that society hasn't outcasted them, but they still need someone to "punch down". Ever wonder why bullies do that? It's because it shows there's someone further down the hierarchy, which means they aren't a complete loser. If you never bullied anyone in school, you will be seen as a loser. You learn a lot more in school than Pythagoras, kiddo.
Because we're at the bottom of the social hierarchy, the peasants, the Dalits, whatever, we can't get status by "punching down". We need to, instead, make advantages for the people at our level. We do, in fact, support each other. Because no one else does. Read this thread, and tell me with a straight face we have zero empathy whatsoever:
