I take very good care of my smartphones, none of them ever had any display scratches. This morning I noticed a tiny scratch in the upper right corner of my smartphone which is running on a custom rom. I was so ashamed and got very sad. I'm thinking of buying a new phone.

You will get used to it. It's virtually impossible to keep any screen scratch free unless you use glass protector from day one.
