That is so fucked up, they are subjecting YOU to sexual harassment and lewd content. There was this one girl in my lab that performed in the vagina monologues, but she took it a step further by acting it out in our class by repeatedly saying "CUNT!", as if it would self liberate her. I wish I had been low inhib enough to either tell her to STFU or report her to my lab manager. But I was in a depressed haze from developing sleep apnea and discovering the blackpill.

I'm doing a lit and finance double major. Lit because i like it and finance because I'll use it. This kind of shit is surprisingly for my finance course.
Just kidding the class is obviously a retard tier requirement for my English
Drop the fucking lit and save your money (ironic that you're wasting money on lit courses, considering you're in finance). If something genuinely interests you, study it in your spare time at your own leisurely pace. When you're in school you're there to either learn technical work skills or the theory behind the skills. If the program is good, you learn both.

High IQ, but I’m still gonna keep lit. I’m pretty financially secure and am already going for pretty cheap for swim. Tbhngl I’m just taking finance so I’m accredited enough to work at the family business when I graduate, my lifelong cope-goal is to be an author.

You don't need to study literature to be an author, just like you don't need to study computer science to become a programmer. Once you learn how to write properly and communicate effectively, that's it, you're done. That's when you begin writing what you want.
If you want to be a better writer and communicator, you're far better off studying philosophy. Not only do you write all of the damn time, but you learn logic and reasoning skills that you apply to writing.
This is the absolute state of education in 2020

I get where you’re coming from, and your points are totally valid, but I’m going to continue lit only because it’s the last logical step for me before writing professionally. I’ve published some short stories and also study philosophy in my free time. I crunched the numbers and settled on lit mainly because of the connections the lit program in my uni provides.
My lit teacher, the one who made me go to this stupid thing in the first place, primarily works for a pretty big publishing firm that I’m going to submit manuscripts to in the future.
