I only cleaned my fans today!

My beside 5vdc fan and my small 120vac fan were crusted with dog hair and dust, but not anymore!!!

I use my small 120vac fan to suck the cold air out of my bedroom - low on the floor - so it encourage the warm AIr to flow to into my bedroom via convection....

I got to use my tiny toolkit that I dearly love.

All in all it was a good day.

I never use those kinds of fans. I prefer to use my fans as "natural airflow encouragement" devices.

No. I just gave them the brush off.

If its "double hung" you can open the top and bottom so it creates its own natural "crossdraw!"


Cool air in at bottom, while hot goes out the top. No fan required! (But it helps)

You just take off the blade cover grill thingy and brush off all the dust and crud.

If super dirty carefully hose the stuff off then scrub with soapy water being careful not to get water in the motor part. (Just the fan blades and the protection grill gets hosed off.)
