Your only chance might have been to lance the blood blister under it but probably you're better off without the nail - probably wouldn't have healed properly. I lanced the nails on two of my fingers after getting them crushed by an engine block and they weren't as bad as yours was. It was painful as fuck. I also lost one of my big toe nails after dropping a concrete block on it. That was unpleasant.
