My mother's best friend passed away. She lived in her nursing home for 14 years. She also knew my mother from her job. My mother and I knew her knew for over 50 years. When I didn't see her at lunch, I became suspicious. I asked someone what happened to her and they informed me she passed away. She was very sharp, but wheel chair bound. She would always greet me upon arrival at the nursing home, visiting my mother. I don't think my mother is aware that she's gone. My mother is not even aware that my father / her husband of 62 years is gone. I can't believe she's gone now. 95 years old.
