OP don't take it lightly it will fuck you up for life.
Definitely take breaks from sitting if you sit too long. Get up every 20 minutes and stand for a minute.
Take rest for a week or two until the pain is subsided, like lie down all day. Then start doing exercises to strengthen your back muscles.

After Covid has gone from this planet, I'll get to see a medical person about my lower back. I used a back machine wrong the entire time I was at the gym. I don't gym anymore.
