I love my mom and sister more than anyone. We went through poverty together but thats just how life is.

Especially if the old people have village/countryside origins. They see work as this amazing opportunity to improve your life because that's how it was for them. Work allowed them to break out of shitty village life, pissing and shitting into buckets, being surrounded by stinky animals and their feces etc. Working in the city or even a small town made a world of difference for them.
