So anyway I'm at my grandparents, I see no ones in the living room so I sit down on the couch and switch on a movie. My foid cousin walks in and sits as far away from me as possible (not that I really care) and then complains that the movie is too loud and she can't hear her phone! (the volume is 18 which is just enough for me to hear it) she then goes to my grandma and tells her I put it on 80! (my grandma was outside and so she walked to the window) I yell out that its on 18 and my grandma then tells my cousin to drop it. My cousin then goes "why do you have a weird voice", I ignore her because what does one even respond to that? She then sits back down and says "You don't have a girlfriend because you're ugly" (bitch you're acting like I don't already know that) but I ignore her because again, what do you even respond to that with? She then either leaves or stays quiet the whole time, I dont know I can only focus on one thing at a time. So anyway about an hour passes and we sit down at the table for dinner, my movie is still on and I'm watching it while eating (the tv is visible from the dining room) and my grandpa complains that he can't hear the tv, at this point I see my opportunity and proclaim "[cousin] thought even this was too loud" as a way to spite her (she is the most consensus based person I know, so I knew this would hurt her).
Alright cut to a day later and I'm driving my mum and brother to our other grandparents, I mention how my cousin is a bitch all of a sudden (not just the times before but she also says to throw my food out and one time even ate (or someone else did, idk she gloated about it anyway) it when I came home late) and my mum attempts to gaslight me pining about how my cousin is homeschooled and thus doesn't get much social time (bs, I hear this bitch on the phone to friends all the time, she gets more social time than me, low bar tbf, not that my mum cares about that) she's just trying to justify my goody toe shoes cousins behavior because she has the most artificial niceness ever, I know because she used to do it to me before she sensed that she could bully me and no one would care. Now my brother seems to have grown a conscience and says he regrets bullying me and that I'm "an actual good person" (his actual phrasing, he's not the most eloquent person) and that being homeschooled doesn't justify my cousins clearly shitty behavior. So in turn my mum backs down because like my cousin, she is a consensus based person, (most of my family defends my cousins due to her predatory niceness, thus consensus builds and more defend) despite how much she likes to say she's an individual. Overall good and bad experiences, sick of foidery and want advice on what to do when similar situations inevitably occur (I get deja vu sometimes with how much these repeat) but happy my brother seems to have gained sentience through seemingly copious drug use.
