I have this friend and one day we were discussing the topic of love or what is called true love as it is potrayed in the movies. And he said one thing: Imagine the girl who spends hours on her make up everyday for years to the point where she has perfected the art. Goes to the gym regularly and squats to get a perfect ass. Spends money on fashion, hair routine, skin routine.

She is NOT going through all that trouble to fall in "true love" with some poor ugly fat bum. Thus the concept of true love is nullified.

If a girl meets an unattractive guys she will not care about putting on makeup, wearing nice clothes, doing her hair, using perfume etc. But when she sees a guy that she is sexually/physically attracted to then she will put in a crazy amount of effort to improve her physical appearance to win him over.
