Venting My cat got put down today

My cat was 18 years old and he'd been sick for awhile but a few days ago he became paralyzed and completely unable to use his back legs, I think due to a blood clot due to his worsening condition and he was barely living, did not purr anymore, wasn't using the bathroom so we've had to ask about for the money to finally put him down because I'm a poorcel. I'm gonna miss him. That's all.

Sorry, brocel. My last cat lived until 15 - had to put him down, he couldn't keep his food down. I got another once recently, barely a year old. I hope he lives long enough - my cats have been my only companions for most of my adult life

When they're gone and you're lying on your bed at night you know they're not lying down somewhere in the house or in your room.

They're gone and it's an empty quiet house.

Or in the afternoon you're in the kitchen or living room and they're nowhere to be seen. Just an empty house.
