I always wanted a nice car but I could never justify spending the money on one. I’ve been driving the same cheap ugly ass Korean piece of shit since 2017. Although it’s reliable and cheap to maintain I’m starting to feel embarrassed by it. People judge not only on your looks but also what you wear and what you drive. I can’t cope anymore I have to admit that my kimchi fart box is lowering my nonexistent SMV. No man will respect you if he saw you driving one of those ricemobiles. Even if I was to get a date there is no way to explain why I drive this

It screams either I’m poor and I can’t afford a better car or I’m a virgin and I will never get laid.

I’m old, I have a good job, a house, nice savings and I deprived myself the enjoyment of owning a sport car while I was young to save money but now I kinda regret it. All the money I made did absolutely nothing for me it just been sitting in my investment account doing nothing. The returns I get on my investments are too low that I’m probably better off enjoying the money. From what I have seen you make more the last 10 years of your career than the 30 years before combined so why don’t I enjoy the money now and save when I’m old.

I want a v8 with rear wheel drive.

I bought the S2000 because I love it, and I love driving it. But TBH back when I bought it (before values of jap boyracer cars went nuts) a teeny tiny part of me was still coping with the Elliott Rodger delusion that maybe women would see me rolling in a somewhat glamorous car, and decide they wanted to get on my dick.

Spoiler: they didnt.

TL/DR:
There's no RWD V8 for your face. If you want one, get one, do it now before petrol gets unaffordable. Do it for yourself, women aren't going to fuck you over it.

Nice. I imagine your Z3M would have a lot of grunt and would probably blow the doors off my car, you definitely need to keep it in the power band to keep moving with Hondas. But that is part of the fun

Where I live there are mountains on one side and hours of flat country in the other direction. I already had a big lazy auto daily driver so I wanted a weekend toy car with a manual gearbox that could carve up corners.

I really wanted to test drive a 350z and one of the 3.0 litre Z4s before I bought the S2k, (I am used to bigger lazier engines, and I thought I might be happier overall with something I didn't need to rev to get the power out.) But the only Z4 3.0 for sale at the time was a long way away from me, and didn't look great in photos. And all of the 350Zs around had already been riced out and thrashed. So it ended up being a choice between the S2000 and a nice DC5 type R integra that someone had put Brembo brakes on. That was a nice car too and I was very tempted.
But then I drove the S2000 for fifteen minutes, and it was love at first sight, I knew I had to own it, it will probably be my "forever" car that my nieces and nephews will have to dispose of after my funeral...

Unfortunately, the resale value on those things is ridiculous because Toyota and the automatic transmission is slow by towards standards, but it's a pretty hassle-free NA V8 with a known track record. The Mercedes W204 C63 is also very nice if you can afford to maintain it.

Back in my day, the whole reason you drove a V8 is because you want an engine with grunt so you don't need to change gears all the time! But then I imagine a Lexus V8 is probably more about top end and less about low-down torque than a Ford or a Chrysler.

The Z3M definitely has a lot of low end torque, and the North American ones are tuned to have the power and down low. We also didn't get the fancy ITBs or the dual VANOS that the S50 did. Our S52 is basically an M52 with better cams and bored out. The S52 is also one of the more reliable BMW engines, though it suffers from the same cooling issues that all e36s had. Thankfully when I bought the car, the PO had the entire cooling system redone (and a new clutch too!) Under my ownership, I refreshed the suspension with Bilstein shocks and H&R sport springs, Racing Dynamics strut bar, a new Bluetooth headunit, alcantara headliner and a Conforti intake. Plus some 18" APEX wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires. (I can run summers year round since I live in a warm climate)

Still a fun car even without the 300 something horsepower the European cars have . Fairly practical for a single male, I can get a few days worth of groceries in the back. Don't need huge cars as an Incel unless you're a tradesman or have a boat.

I cross shopped this car and various BMW and Audi wagons. (Plus a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8) I figured that this car would be coolest due to the oddball factor and its performance. I got it relatively inexpensively for an M Coupe, less than 30k USD.

Yea Korean cars are pieces of shit. Unreliable as hell and easy to steal. Don't go to a rental car company and rent those piece of shit Kia's or Hyundais. You think to yourself, "hey look at those korean cars, I've never tried one I think I'll rent one of those". Then a couple of days into your rental youre already getting all sorts of problems and hearing noises/vibrations. Shit not working.

There's a reason why all you see are toyotas and hondas on the road. Not that you don't see Kias or Nissans but people get Kias or Nissans because theyre cheap. Black people are poorer than white people and they love cheap and fast Altimas. Those piece of shit altimas have major transmission issues.

I've been thinking about getting a truck with a camper shell. That way I can use the damn truck for side hustle contractor work. A great way to burn some calories, lose weight, and make some money.

I can also obviously camp in the camper. Maybe take the truck offroading and do some fishing/camping deep in the mountains/wilderness.

Also, I want a truck for the practical purpose of it. Not to show off like some obnoxious douchebag that lifts some 5.7L supercharged V8 heavy duty truck.

As for older model japanese sedans, absolutely nothing wrong with those. I still see Toyotas and Lexus' from the 90s and early 2000s on the road. Nothing wrong with those. Those old Lexus sedans are probably one of the most reliable cars ever made, those along with the 4runner. If you ever ascend and if she has a problem with your older model vehicles, the shallow gold digging status whore is probably not worth it to begin with.
