It's all about illegal yeah but there is apparently nothing saying you cannot file a petition for such a motion if it has still been attempted long after the civil war.
Really though judges have everyone by the balls now no matter what legal options you have and are thinking of persuing. Family courts, appelate court, state court, supreme court. It's their country now.
