Those who are genuine are the ones you see. As yourself how many have not made it despite trying hard.

I've known a guy through Steam / online gaming, who has literally made a list of each company he has applied at in every year.

This guy has legitimately applied at some 200 companies within 2 years and he has not gotten a single fucking apprenticeship.

It was not even for a job but for an apprenticeship.

His grades were good also, yet still, no luck.

You won't hear or see anything from this guy on youtube.

His problem? He had zero connections and was probably also not attractive enough.

I know from experience that connections can open you doors.

Now that I am on my own again I just could not land a job, so far.

In five years you will see me being a famous epic guitarist though and I will be making loadsa moneh.
