They cannot imagine what it's like to wake up every morning knowing that you will never have happiness or achieve your hopes or dreams and there was never anything you could have done about it. They don't understand what it's like to be completely fucked and no amount of effort will help you. Add on top of that the fact that you see nearly everyone around you achieve the things you dream about without even trying and it stings even more.
