Apart from low pay, asshole bosses and HR foids ruining the workplace, another reason why most people hate work is their jobs are pretty much worthless.
I'm not even talking working as a burger flipper or toilet cleaner. Even your white collar desk job is quite worthless.
How many jobs in a F500 company actually directly contribute to its revenue model? Probably 10% AT MOST.
Most deskjobs involve generating some stupid TPS report, checking to see if some document figures are correct etc.
This is not the same as actually designing the next flying car, or building a space colony or fuck even just creating a investment portfolio that you can see actual results from. Those jobs are reserved for a very small proportion of the workforce.
Even worse is being actually able to make decisions is reserved for probably even less people. So most of the time you're just following a routine every day of checking some stupid ass reports and hope your boss doesn't find out you fucked up doing that checking.
Now I get why some people enjoy "low class" work like being a farmer or being a bricklayer. At least you can say you actually built something.
