I hate it so much when people give advice with no qualifications. So many times in life I was told I could succeed at y if I did x. But when hard work didn't get me success, those people weren't there to help me.

They had nothing ventured, so could just spout off blowhard shit without any consequences. When young I believed them; how could everyone be lying to me? Because they all believed the same lie; I was the only one stupid enough to try it out to see if it worked.
