Being a monk when I’m retired and close to death would be peaceful. I’d rather die somewhere beautiful and scenic like Mount Athos, or any monastery in America with elders that I have always prayed with, read with, and done tasks like making wine or leading church service. Than just to die at some depressing hospice with foid nurses that want me dead.

I was thinking about it too. But I hated the requirements. You know being baptized, perfect church attendance, recomending letter from Your priest or bishop etc...

I fucking despise cucktholics. They're the only one in my country with monasteries. I wouldnt mind getting rebabtized as an orthodox. But the nearest ortodox church is like 5 hours of commute by train away. And anyway, the orthodox church in my country is, from what I've heard, pretty sus since the start of war in Ukraine.

So my only option is creating my own monastery. I basically live semi-monastic and ascetic life already. I have my own plot of land, I live minimalistic lifestyle, I work - albeit the normal cucked one, and over time, once I'll scrable more money, I'll rebuild this plot of land into some smaller building to live in and the rest of the plot will get changed into garden where I'll be growing vegies and some fruit trees.

And hopefully I'll be able to die on this plot of land.
