I was telling my dad about a new article I was reading in the Economist about how Mamdani’s housing plan could spark new businesses by lowering rent prices because it will make it cheaper to live in NYC and therefore allow people to survive on a lower salary. Agree or disagree it was just about some economics article

My mom started freaking out about how the govenrment built houses are a plan by the WEF and how Blackrock is bugging the houses with Palantir technology. She started freaking out and kept interrupting. It was a mix of Qanon stuff and schizophrenia.

She ended up running upstairs crying after I just said “ok ok I don’t care I’m talking about the idea of state subsidized housing”. She’s still crying despite me saying nothing.

She just threw herself into a fit talking about the WEF and Illuminati and stuff when I just mentioned state funded apartments
