In high school I was too autistic to sit with my peers in the cafeteria, so I would go hide in the bathroom in a stall every lunch. I was not alone though; I had a bathroomcel comrade. Every day, a few minutes after I locked myself in the stall, he would come in and lock himself in the stall on the other side of the room. We would sit there in silence and wait for lunch to end. Then I would leave, and he, I think waiting until he was sure I had left, would leave. We never saw each other's face.
