Abstract
This research aims to understand who Incels
are as a community and how they radicalize
and incite gender-based violence. I engage
in a thematic and critical discourse analysis
of discussion posts from popular Incels
website Incels.is to uncover the ways in
which the discourses employed by Incels are
shaped by, and are reflective of patriarchy,
heteronormativity and white supremacy. I
consider how Incels externalize the cause of
their involuntary celibacy and use women as
scapegoats for their lack of romantic and
sexual success and use biologically
determinist discourses to justify their anger
that they are unable to perform a
masculinity characterized by sexual conquest.
This research provides insight into how
Incels are not a mere fringe abnormality,
rather their misogyny is a logical but
extreme extension of patriarchal,
heteronormative and white supremacist
power relations.

was so proud of me for attending graduate school and
for pursuing my passions. He was always the first person to ask me how school was going and
what I was learning about
relatable
Although he is no longer here to read my work and congratulate me, I
know that he is endlessly proud of me and my accomplishments .
F
how does this online subculture or community radicalize
Not a single reference to the word "circumcision" in the entire paper. Even though there are dozens of threads here where circumcision and minor circumcision are discussed. Similar with the the dogpill. I would argue that such topics must be contributing a great deal to radicalization.
I ask the
following question: Who are the Incels and how does this online subculture or community
radicalize and incite gender-based violence? In answering this question, the objective of this
research is to illustrate the importance of under standing and unpacking Incel discourse and belief
as a means of gender and sexual violence prevention.
She can't possibly correctly give an answer to that question without even considering some of the main elements discussed here, nor understand the argument made by many incels for the broader patriarchy discourse.

ctrl + f -> "circumcision" = phrase not found
ctrl + f -> "dog" = phrase not found
ctrl + f -> "beast" = phrase not found
ctrl + f -> "degenerate" = 1 of 1 match

Posts appeal to others by speaking directly to them, stating that they will never get married, have children
At least she got that part, which I would also argue it must be contributing a great deal to radicalization.
