I constantly find myself looking in mirrors thinking to myself: "If I see my face enough I'll get used to it and I will stop seeing myself as too ugly and eventually gain some self-confidence."
I have yet for this to happen. Rather, I think the opposite is occurring. Now if I see myself in a reflection while I am enjoying myself, my mood will dissipate, especially if I'm in public.
"Oh, yeah, I look like that." I remember. Then I imagine what others must think when they see me. Or when they interact with me. How many times have they told someone else later that day about the weird looking dude at the grocery store?
