Mia Khalifa Disowned by Lebanese Parents Over Porn Videos

Lebanese pornstar Mia Khalifa’s parents have broken their silence to the public after discovering their daughter is a pornstar, stating: “We disassociate ourselves from her actions which do not reflect her family beliefs, her upbringing or her true Lebanese roots. We hope that she comes back to her senses as her image does not honor her family or her homeland — Lebanon.”
While no parents will be proud to discover their children engaging in massive amounts of sex in a very public way, Mia Khalifa raised the bar by shocking her ultra-conservative parents who follow the Republican-party.
“We are probably paying the price of living away from our homeland; our kids had to adapt to societies that don’t resemble our culture, traditions and values,” the family said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Khalifa, born in 1993, moved with her family to the United States in 2000. They left behind them one of the more liberal countries in the Middle East but one where religion plays a central, sometimes divisive, role in daily life and many are deeply socially conservative.
Having turned 18, Khalifa left home, the statement says, “as is common in the West. She married an American guy in February 2011 and is currently living with him in Florida. Mia has since lost contact with her family.”
She is also criticized for her tattoo, in Arabic, of the opening lines of the Lebanese National Anthem, and a second tattoo that represents a divisive Lebanese political party, the Lebanese Forces. Her father is a Lebanese Forces supporter, she says. She got the cross on her wrist two years ago in support of her father, “to show him, ‘I’m on your side.’”
Mia Khalifa Did What Kim Kardashian Failed To Do
Kim Kardashian posted nude photos of herself in recent months, seeking to “break the internet”. Mia Khalifa has stirred up a global controversy and debate over her porn career.
Her ranking as the world’s top pornstar on Pornhub drew strong criticism from many, including some in the Middle East who branded her “a disgrace” to the country and “shameful”.
American duo Timeflies, who recorded a song about her this week, posted to their Twitter feed.
It’s already proven pretty popular with her fans, with several posting that, together, she and the band “broke the internet.”
And Khalifa herself remains defiant in the face of the trolls.
“How does it feel to be the most hated arab at the moment?” she wrote. “Pretty good since @Timeflies wrote a song about me.”
