Men in todays world are suffering greatly from lack of support and an encouraging world. Male suicide rates stagger over women suicide rates. Mental illness and mental health are typically brushed off when it comes to men. It’s a stigma around men, we are made to feel weak or less than when we cry, feel saddened and hurt deeply. Our fellow men who are more valued because they hold something the rest of us don’t, they ostracize us. Women spit on us when a man shows his emotions, he’s automatically called a “pussy” when he cry’s because he’s struggling. She rejects the man with flowers at her door because he isn’t rich, handsome, packing or tall. Men in todays world feel depressed, unmotivated and lonely. The major factor is loneliness. Loneliness in men in this world has been increasing through out the decades. Don’t get me wrong, Women can feel depression too, but typically not the same reasons a man would. A woman wouldn’t be depressed because she’s inadequate to find love, a man is more likely to kill himself because of something like this. Body Dysmorphic Disorder runs more prevalent in men, ugly men are seen as less in our society and culture. Size of penis is so heavily romanticized and glorified in modern society, which puts too much pressure on many young men. Height as well, if you’re not at least 5’11 or 6 foot you’re going to struggle heavily unless you have other things to compensate it with. All women have to do is show up and look decent enough. It’s disheartening and disgusting that EVERYONE in this forum and men who feel like this all over have been so let down by our own society.
