They still aren't aware that chads are privileged compared to them since they don't regularly see how chads are treated better by women in their day to day lives. They also tend to be older, so they don't check social media as much and see that chads aren't as uncommon as thought and see how women are willing to do anything for those chads.

Previously access to chads was limited to your hometown or a drive to a nearby location, so people didn't come across many chads and the way women behaved towards sub 8 males was assumed to be the standard way women behaved toward all men.
Now social media shows how many chads and gigachads there are across the world and how favorably women react to them compared to sub 8 males.

The oldest known instance that I can think of on the spot would be the ancient greece poet Hipponax.

He was notorious for being ugly.
His poetry was somewhat vulgar and harsh.
