Did you know Memorial Day-then called decoration day- was founded by the confederates in 1861, as a day of rememberance for troops fighting in the civil war? It was adopted in the US in 1868, when daughters of confederate veterans placed flowers on both Union and Confederate graves in an act of reconciliation.
Today my Memorial Day thanks goes not to the foot soldiers of evil, like those that invaded iraq, Germany, and Japan. But to those that fought for a world that may be better than our owns, had they’ve won. The confederates, the Texan revolutionaries, the Wacoans, etc. are the veterans I recognize.
I feel terrible for the veterans of the evil empire, imagine being an allied ww2 vet and seeing this nation today, many of them are being wiped under the rug simply for being white.
All over the US Memorial Day celebrations are taking place but only for nonwhite veterans. All the major media is choosing “coincidentally” to put into the spotlight nonwhite veterans. White veterans are of course thrown to the side. Even though the confederates lost, groups like the sons and daughters of the confederacy still honor their dead more than the US honors their white dead. Lmfao. I would pay to see their faces now.
