Anybody know what this guy’s talking about? Would 4mm really have a noticeable impact?

Yes, if your maxilla is recessed 4 mm will be a HUGE impact on your looks.

I messaged him and he said he had a fairly average jaw/chin. Like if you saw him on the street, you wouldn’t think anything of it. And I can definetly relate to that, and have experienced some of these symptoms.

He also said that basically your maxilla is broken up into a right side and left. For most people it’s seperared by about 4mm, but his smacks right up against one another. How does that work exactly? Can it actually give you a more chiseled jawline? Might have to look into this.

What do you want to know I have the same problem, probably. He explained it pretty well, tbh.

The to small recessedd bones of your maxilla / upper jaw compresses your nose tissue and upper airways and the lower jaw the mandibular you lower airways because it doesn't find place behind the upper jaw. Tongue finds no room in his mouth leads to sleepapnoe. The wrong grown bones effect your muscletonus down to you neck and lead to headache. The slime is a natural reaction of the body to clean your airways, but this obviously doesn't help against the bone pressure. Acid reflux is because the shutter doesnt work when you compress the pipe it's sitting on.

are u good at judging if a maxilla is recessed or not from pics?

Ehhm what?
Yeah, idk. He said he’s not really sure what’s he talking about. But i guess my question is the same as his. If you have a recessed maxilla, how much would 4mm alter it?

You mean they will perform a SARME surgery (cut mandible vertically in the middle and move both parts a bit outside)?

I suppose you mean with smacking his incisor teeth are default tip on tip?

It extremely depends on what condition exactly you have. There are like five different surgeries for this whole problem field. My lower frontteeth need 5 mm more room.

Just move your lower jaw forward in a relaxed position and substract the difference of the gap between your grinders in your mind to see the result. (Obviously you can't see how your midface changes). I look already normal then. Considering My lower jaws teetch are turned and need fixing trhough a widened jaw as well, I could get a godly jawline.

Nah, he said he’s not getting surgery. He said most likely, just some form of braces again. And then they didn’t talk about it in detail, but if necessary they’ll extend his upper jaw slightly.

Probably the same principle. I have no idea about this though. German orthodontists seem to prefer surgery for adults.

There is a famous doctor from London, I think, with a youtube channel, who explains the method with braces.

Didn't watch it yet, but this vid was recommended to me on the forum here (not his channel). Maybe it is more focused on the mewing aka the training part though. IDK:
