Earlier today I observed a woman walking her dog. The dog took a shit on the grass, and she went and picked up the shit to throw it into a trash bin. (For the brownskins who don't understand this: this is why the West isn't like India.) Afterwards, I noticed that the woman incited the dog to play with her.
The timing of this got me thinking. Did picking up the dog shit trigger the woman's playfulness? I think the answer is yes. The act of cleaning up dogshit is the modern analogue of cleaning a baby's bottom, and it is obvious that a woman is genetically engineered to find existential meaning in such acts. It dawned upon me that the dogshit must have woken up her maternal instinct, which in turn made her want to play with the dog.
More broadly though, I think the perspective helps explain why so many women choose to have dogs and/or cats nowadays. As (((modern society))) has convinced them not to produce offspring, they are left in an existential void, as their primary biological goals aren't being fulfilled. She thus seeks out surrogate activities that yield existential satisfaction --- not consciously so, of course, since women aren't aware of their own psychology, but rather subconsciously. Lo and behold, owning a dog or cat fulfills this goal.
Thoughts?
