Well, to be fair a lot of the more vocal members of our community are exactly that. It takes quite a lot to even alienize a political leaning, whose foundation is essentially about helping people and making life better for everyone. 
So the question is who profits from stopping us building bridges. Who here pushes these false narratives and why?

Inceldom and manosphere issues used to be arguably apolitical, but that has changed with movements like antifa and breadtube liberals universally condemning any aspect of incels and the manosphere as forever not belonging anywhere in marxist or socialist theory and dubbing them as reactionary. You will see this come up if you ever ask about things like "socialist men's rights activists" on r/antifascistsofreddit (official antifa subreddit).
What changed is probably people who saw the advancement of women's rights and a woman's absolute right to choose as a non-negotiable aspect of leftist theory and have managed to shut up dissenters to this by painting them as reactionary and trying to associate them with the alt-right via "hate group" classifications.
TL;DR: id pol type leftists have decided to outcast anyone that doesn't focus on women's rights and have tried to dismantle the concept of apolitical by associating it with just reactionary PR whitewashing.
It doesn't help that in the past the alt-right sometimes tried to pretend to be apolitical in terms of social and environmental issues in order to broaden its base of support.
