They made Mario kind of a bitch in the movie, I hope in the galaxy movie he has his game personality again because he was a weakling in the first film, but I guess it makes sense since he was new to the Mushroom kingdom, and he did become cooler at the end of it when he defeats Bowser, but in the galaxy movie he needs to his aura back

The SMB movie was basically Princess Peach: The Movie. Afaik Illumination wanted Peach to be even more of a protagonist but Nintendo forced them to tone it down jfl
